Huron Charter Township Senior Citizen Recreation in Agreement with Wayne County Senior Services - “THE EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM” (T.E.F.A.P.)
The MONTHLY Wayne County Senior Citizen Services “THE EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM” (T.E.F.A.P.), also known as “FOOD COMMODITIES,” is a program developed to help those in need in our community. Distribution for Huron Charter Township (HCT) residents is via host HCT Senior Citizens Recreation and held in the HCT Krzyske Center once monthly, usually on the Fourth Tuesday of each Month from 10:00-11:30 AM for Huron Charter Township Residents who qualify.
Eligible Recipients are individuals residing in Huron Charter Township and are:
1. with a household gross income at or below 200% of Federal Poverty Level and are age 55 or older and their spouses,
2. are age 18 or older living with a disability and their spouses.
Recipients will be required to provide their name, address, age, and signature and/or an authorized signature by proxy for each individual receiving food commodities.
